PRESS RELEASE
On Sunday, October 11, 2020 at approximately 8:35 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Daryl Lee Cole, 45, and Amber Lynn Bradley, 33, both of Stanley.

 Cole was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for original charges of two counts of Felon and Domestic Abuser in Possession of Firearm (class D felony), four counts of Possession of Controlled Substance – Sodium Hydroxide, Petroleum Distillates, Lithium and Pseudoephedrine (class D felonies), Drug Tax Stamp Violation (class D felony), Child Endangerment Resulting in Bodily Injury (class D felony), Drug Trafficking (class D felony), Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used (class D felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor).

Bradley was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for original charges of four counts of Possession of Controlled Substance – Sodium Hydroxide, Petroleum Distillates, Lithium and Pseudoephedrine (class D felonies), Drug Tax Stamp Violation (class D felony), Child Endangerment – Methamphetamine Exposure (class D felony), Drug Trafficking (class D felony), Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used (class D felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor).

These arrests were made in the 300 blk Third Street in Dundee and stem from a search warrant and investigation in controlled substance manufacturing at a residence in the 200 blk E Main Street in Stanley on July 05, 2020.  The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa DNR Law Enforcement assisted in these arrests.


PRESS RELEASE
On Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at approximately 2:35 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a semi that had rolled over near 145th Street and Fairbank Amish Blvd, southeast of Fairbank.  According to the investigation, a 2001 Freightliner semi-tractor/trailer operated by Milan Hageman of Ossian was traveling southbound on Fairbank-Amish Blvd when he attempted to back his trailer onto 145th Street in an effort to turn around to head north.  The trailer entered the south ditch on 145th Street, causing the semi to overturn.  No injuries were reported and Hageman was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and Striking Fixtures.  The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Iowa DOT Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Fairbank Fire Department and Buchanan County Emergency Management.
